The submission is stored in the website database so John Cronin can review and respond to the inquiry. Contact submissions are not currently sent by an automated email service.

The Ask John interface uses a curated knowledge base within the website. Questions entered there are held temporarily in the open browser session and are not sent to the website server or stored after the page is closed or refreshed.

The website uses a first-party analytics system to understand how visitors interact with the site. We collect page views, anonymous session identifiers, referring hostnames, traffic sources, link destination paths or hostnames, event types, and timestamps.

This information is used strictly to improve the website experience. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not engage in cross-site behavioral profiling. The analytics system uses transient session storage (sessionStorage) rather than tracking cookies to assign anonymous session identifiers. These identifiers exist only for the duration of your browser session.

The private owner dashboard is protected by Clerk. Clerk authentication is used exclusively to secure the backend interface and is not used as a public account system or for public visitor tracking.

Hosting, security, and application infrastructure may process ordinary technical request information needed to deliver and protect the website. This may include a network address, browser supplied details, the requested page, request time, response status, and a request identifier.

This information is used for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and service operation. It is not used by John Cronin to create advertising or marketing profiles. Retention of infrastructure records is governed by the operational practices of the relevant hosting provider.

The website loads font resources from Google Fonts. When those resources are requested, Google may receive ordinary technical information such as a network address and browser details under its own privacy terms.
